Network Engineer shall be able to install and configure Data/voice ports, caballing, various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
- EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol): Cisco proprietary, combines distance vector and link-state features.
OSPF (Open Shortest Path First): A link-state protocol used in large networks for dynamic routing.
BGP (Border Gateway Protocol): Used for routing between autonomous systems, crucial for internet routing.
RIP (Routing Information Protocol): Distance-vector protocol, older but still relevant in smaller networks. - STP (Spanning Tree Protocol): Prevents loops in network topologies.
VLANs (Virtual LANs): Segments networks logically for better traffic management. - Transport Layer Protocols:
- TCP (Transmission Control Protocol): Reliable, connection-oriented communication.
UDP (User Datagram Protocol): Faster, connectionless communication. - HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, SNMP, Telnet, SSH, etc.
- Candidate should have knowledge Managing and configuring telephone.
- Candidate should have knowledge Managing IP cameras.
- Excellent understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Monitor and manage Routing & Switching.
- Configure, administer, document firewall infrastructure and change management.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of firewalls and firewall policies.
- Experience working on Firewall Rule base analyzers and optimization approaches.
- In depth understanding of Network ports, NAT, PAT and Access Lists.
- Document network configurations and changes.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect company data and systems
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and provide recommendations for system improvements
- Excellent knowledge in FortiGate Firewall.

Experience:

- Channel development and management capability – Preferred channel experience within Sanitary or Electrical Counters or Modern Trade
- Understanding of after sales service, spares and technical management
- A demonstrated capability in flawless and timely execution is a key requirement for the role
